Magnum theme by Mike Post

There is no Magnum, P.I. without Tom Selleck, therefore one should not try and make a movie without its original cast. It’s ludicrous that the producers think Selleck is too old to play Magnum. Ben Affleck as Magnum is an insult to all of the shows fans. Here’s an easy fix for those money-hungry-bastard producers Charles Floyd Johnson and Brain Glazer, make Thomas Magnum the same age as Tom Selleck.

Oh you need help with how to do it? Well here is more of my keen advice for you, our Hollywood slugs.

Open up with Magnum back in Detroit years after the end of the Magnum series. We see a different Magnum then the one we left in Hawaii- he is bearded and responsible. The beard is because of Detroit’s colder weather and responsible because he has raised his daughter and sent her off to college all as a single father with his Navy pension and P.I. work. Yes he’s still working as a private investigator to make extra cash.
Now how to get Thomas back to Hawaii, well let’s say something happens to Robin Masters (maybe a kidnapping or murdered friend/family) so Higgins must call upon the only man he knows who can help. Cut to flight from Detroit to Hawaii and Magnum steps off the plane, he knows what he has to do 1st, shave the beard; it’s just too damn hot for it in Hawaii. He looks in mirror with that old famous stash, gives a grin and intro rolls with Mike Post’s famous theme.
We work the story; have the old crew back, now successful businessmen. TC has a chain of Island Hoppers and tourist type things. Rick is still married now with kids and has a number of clubs and restaurants around Hawaii. With the help of his old pals Magnum discovers the plot of what’s going on, some action, some laughs and a great ending.
Bam this is easy!
